Spring is also a nice time to go, but there is a greater chance of spring showers during that time. The summers may be too hot, and winters too cold and windy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get there:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By Plane:&nbsp;<\/strong><br>There are daily flights from Taipei Songshan, Taichung, and Kaohsiung airports to Makung. the flight takes roughly under an hour. Rates can range from around&nbsp;2200-6000 NT&nbsp;for a round trip. There are also flights to and from Chiayi, Tainan, Kinmen, and Chimei, with charted flights to Hong Kong starting&nbsp;September 2018.<br>There are flights to and from Taipei Songshan Airport three times a day via&nbsp;Uni Air. We had a great time every time, and the beaches were always beautiful and the water was clear. However just because there are lots of sandy beaches in Penghu doesn&#8217;t mean every beach is clean or safe to walk barefoot on, because not every beach is cleaned regularly and trash floats in from the ocean. Also, on windy days sand can get blown in your face. Also if it is raining, it can feel cold. This phenomenon has been likened to Moses parting the Red Sea in the Bible and has become one of Penghu\u2019s major tourist attractions. Just because there are lots of sandy beaches in Penghu doesn&#8217;t mean every beach is clean or safe to walk barefoot on. However, there is great snorkeling and diving here, and there is a beautiful stone weir in this bay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qingluo Sand Bar \u9752\u87ba\u6c99\u5634<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/staging.rersczyr.a2hosted.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/penghu2.04-203-2048x1365.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4562\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This sand bar lies at the easternmost part of Penghu. However, it is kind of rocky and there can be lots of garbage washed on the beach. You can see Jibei Island from here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has--font-size\">Beaches we missed:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has--font-size\">Jibei Islet Sand Bar \u5409\u8c9d\u5dbc\u6c99\u5c3e\u6c99\u7058<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is Penghu&#8217;s largest sand bar, which is a short boat ride from the main island of Penghu. Here you can find beautiful sand and shallow blue waters. Jet ski rides are also available here. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has--font-size\">Wangankou Beach \u7db2\u57b5\u53e3\u6c99\u7058<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A beautiful and pristine beach on the outer island of Wangan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has--font-size\">Chima Beach \u8d64\u99ac\u6c99\u7058<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Chima Beach is a picturesque and perfect beach on Siyu Islet in Penghu.
